What is Glutathione?

What is Glutathione?

Glutathione is a tri-peptide that is made up of gamma-glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine, and is also known as gamma-glutamylcysteinelglycine or GSH. Glutathione is a substance that is found in every cell of the body, and has been called the master antioxidant. It is such an important antioxidant as it is actually within the body’s cells and it also regulates the actions of lesser antioxidants such as vitamin C and vitamin E. if the levels of glutathione are too low in the body, other antioxidants are unable to do their job.

Glutathione is the regulator and regenerator of immune cells and it is the most valuable detoxifying agent in the body. It is important in DNA synthesis and repair, protein and prostaglandin synthesis, amino acid transport, detoxification of toxins and carcinogens, enhancement of the immune system, and protection from oxidation and enzyme activations. Glutathione has strong antiviral properties. If there are higher levels of glutathione in the tissues and serum, then the replication of most pathogens are stopped. Conversely, if the levels of glutathione are low, then conditions become much more favourable for viruses.

Food Sources of Glutathione and Supplementation

Glutathione may not be well absorbed into the body when taken by mouth, and one option is to take it by vein. However, it is more practical to take the precursors to glutathione – the substances that the body needs to make glutathione.

Food sources of the precursors – cysteine, glycine, and glutamic acid include:

  • poultry
  • wheat
  • broccoli
  • eggs
  • garlic
  • onion
  • capsicum
  • meat
  • fish
  • dairy products
  • beans
  • fruits
  • vegetables
  • asparagus
  • avocado
  • walnuts

.

Actually, there are many ways for you to lose weight. Google it and you will find millions of website providing information about how to lose weight. For your easy reading and reference, here I have compiled the 5 best ways to lose weight.
.
1. Lose your weight step by step
First, you need to start paying attention to the food you eat. Reduce fatty foods and sweets and you should instead eat more vegetables and fruits. Then, once you have your eating habit under control, you need to add exercise to your daily routine. Do it slowly, 15 minutes per day at the beginning and gradually increase your exercise to 45 minutes per day. To make your exercise more easier, you should choose activities which you really enjoy.
.
2. You need to find a friend who shares the same goal
Losing weight will be much easier if you have a weight loss companion. You know, someone who is overweight and have the same passion as you to lose his or her weight.
.
3. Do weight lifting
By doing weight lifting, you will build your muscle and also raise your metabolism which will then burn more of your calories. Plus, because muscle takes up much less space compared to fat, you will be smaller, but most probably you will weigh more.

4. Consume less carbohydrates
You should eat less carbohydrates. White bread is one of the food source which contain plenty of carbohydrates.

Elena Miro Spring 2010

If I was going on an African Safari during the early 1960’s I would pack each piece of Elena Miro’s Spring 2010 Collection. Once the girls started to strut down the runway I was taken away, and enjoyed every minute of the collection. The use of ivory and brown pops of yellow and red interjected with beautiful ethnic prints. I have picked out my favorite looks. Take some time and enjoy the peek into pre-show and the runway.
.

.
I can so see Joan Holloway wearing this suit. I love the pencil skirt and the jacket that nips in the waist. This is a great way to flatter curves or even create curves where they are needed. The hat just is the perfect accessory to finish off the look.
.

.
Viva la Jumpsuit! I am so happy to see the jumpsuit on the Elena Miro spring runway. I am a total jumpsuit convert; I did not speak highly of them until I finally bought one and fell in love. The palazzo pants and the blousant style top is figure flattering for all shapes and sizes. The turquoise statement necklace and the brown belt and purse just finish of the look.
.
.
The classic silhouette; A-line this dress is super flattering. Total Betty Draper goes on safari. The cut out is a unique part of the dress and totally differentiates it from most. It’s a genius place to put it right below the bust, it tends to be a more slender area when standing, and of course her boobs look great!
.

.
This is a nicely layered outfit, I so love the deep v-sweater and the milk chocolate colour is so inviting. It is a simple sweater but what makes it above and beyond is the light weight yarn and of course the pockets! I am a sucker for pockets. The layering of the silk slip underneath elongates the body and adds a nice sense of dimension.
.

.
I would probably wear a cami with this boatneck blouse, but I still adore it. The drape is perfect and the sleeves would camouflage your arms if you prefer to keep your arms under shade. I love the shorts they are a perfect way to show off your legs, and the neutral heel makes the legs go on for miles.

How to Lose Weight Fast in 2010? Tips to Lose Weight Quickly?

.
bet you said the same thing last year, resolving that I want to lose weight in 2009, but have miserably failed in your attempt to lose weight up to now. If so, don’t worry you are not alone, we all are in the same boat where as losing weight is concerned.
Why did you fail miserably in trying to lose weight this year? You should take a close look at what you have been doing in order to lose that extra fat in your body. Have you been cheated by those eye catching advertisements that promises to lose 75lbs in 1 week?
So if you have resolved to lose weight in 2010, below tips will come in handy as they are not planned to lose 75lbs in 1 week, but will definitely help your body to lose weight gradually.
Slowly eat and chew each bite during meals as this would decrease one's appetite.
Warm water with just a squeeze of lemon juice before breakfast get the metabolism going for the day, this also help preventing constipation and is excellent for the skin.
Eat only when you are hungry. Do not mistake emotional hunger for physical hunger. Emotional hunger is when you eat to avoid feeling a negative feeling or the food we intake when we feel blue.
If you are feeling negative, just feel that feeling fully and you will release that feeling. Then you do not need to eat anything to cover up that feeling.
Drink extra water before a main meal, this will help to consume less during the main course.
Eight hours after waking up, our metabolism slows down that is why 30 minutes of exercise before dinner will increase the metabolism for about two to three hours. This produces an increase in burned fat even hours after the work out is over
Add alfalfa or mung beans to salad to get extra iron.
Chilli helps to speed up metabolism - even the milder varieties. But remember to not to consume too much chillies as it can help develop gastritis.
Once you start to lose weight, just remember it's a question of will. Keep doing what is working for you. Stay away from junk food, and you will feel healthier and alive than never before.

Drink Water To Help With Weight Loss

.
That being said, you can help yourself along greatly by making
small and simple changes to your diet. Eating healthier foods is a
great way to add to your program.
.
First, drink more water. Add at least one more glass a day to what
you already drink. And, at the same time, make it fun. Try these:
.
1. Seltzer
Add a lemon or lime for a nice "punch."
Bored with lemon and lime slices? Then try something more
adventurous like a wedge of orange, a slice of pineapple, or a few
cut up strawberries. All will add a little flavor.
.
2. Herbal Tea
Put an herbal teabag into a bottle of water and let it sit in your
fridge for a while. It flavors the water.Strong flavored teas work
best. Stay away from the ones that contain caffeine.
If its cold outside drink hot herbal tea. You'll enjoy the refreshing
pause in your day.
.
3. Flavored Syrups
Raspberry, peach, cherry or your favorites add splash to a glass
of water. Just a splash will work so it does not add calories. Sugar
free syrups don't add calories but are full of chemicals, so be
careful in your choices.
.
4. Soup
Broth and bouillon are great choices. If you like the creamy soups
be wary of the extra fat in them and use these only occassionally.
